WE MADE IT!

We finally made it to the top of Grandeur Peak! Thanks to Kim and Mike for pushing our butts...the view really was worth it...and the s'mores afterwords were even more worth it! Lisa and Brett met us later for the s'more roastin' and we're glad they did - they waited over an hour for us slow pokes!

July 24th

We celebrated our Pioneer Day up at the Sansom cabin (Robbie's Aunt and Uncle) - Now this is NOT your typical cabin, I'd say it's more of a getaway resort! They have just about everything up there... horses, four wheelers, swings, basketball court...and that's just some of the outside toys! We sure enjoyed our day up there, especially with the HOT weather down in the valley.
Getting a nice mountain breeze was very refreshing.

I found this website that has consumed my life over the past 2 hours...but it's really fun to enhance and play with your pictures! Check it out - www.picnik.com

This is the view on the drive up there - I didn't do anything to enhance this picture. The sky was so blue!

SALE!!!

RUN...don't walk to Old Navy where they are having one of their spectacular sales and let me tell ya, it is goooood! I stocked up on clothes for Taryn next summer. All of their clearance is an additional 50% off...and there were even clothes that weren't marked as sale items so I asked one of the workers if they just happen to be part of the sale so he double checked - yup on sale and also 50% off that price! SAWEET! Basically every item I got was under $3 bucks - except the swim suit I got which was only $4 bucks!

Ya I splurged on that one.

You better get going before everything is picked over!!

And here's a funny video of Taryn - I love her personality!

Sunday Evenings

I love Sunday evenings over at my parent’s house. We always put a big blanket out in the front yard and hang out as the neighborhood crowd gathers.

The boys play ball while the girls sit and chat.
The popsicles make their entrance and the kids run and laugh.

Could life get any better?

I am in love with this picture.

Family Reunion

We had a little family reunion at the park with the McClellan side of the family (my mom and her cousins) this past Saturday. It's always interesting to see people you are related to, but don't know anything about them! :) Of course my pictures there were only of Taryn - but I can't resist capturing all the fun moments she brings into life!

Brett finally figured out the sectret to getting a kiss from Taryn - just stick some food out of your mouth and she's all over ya!

This is all Taryn wants to do now - WALK! Well, with the help of anyone that is willing to hold her hand! She is getting to be such a big girl!

Introducing....Mrs.Tiare Kelly

Well the Bride and Groom are off for a romantical getaway in Puerto Vallarta. What a way to start a marriage! :) Of course the reception was beautiful and also lots of fun! There was dancing, (see video below) an ice cream bar, yummy food, and fire dancers! (Taryn made us miss those, she was spent!) All in all it was a fun summer wedding reception and I wish the happy couple the best of luck!!!

enjoying the grub - isn't it funny how adults always imitate the face our kids should make?!

Beetle Juice

Saturday night at about 10:00 pm Amy and I stumbled upon this little (actually, NOT so little) creature. A BEETLE! Ok, I kinda freaked because it was crawling on my kitchen floor! Amy acted like it was no big deal and pulled off her flip flop and whacked it right then and there! First off, I would have opted for a MUCH BIGGER shoe, probably one of Robbie's size 15 shoes...and secondly, how in the heck did this thing get into my house?! EWE! Sorry for the after pictures of it guts coming out, but I had to post them with a few items to show off it's size. Bleh, it gives me the heeby jeeby's!

My hair situation...

So I've decided (for now) that I'm going to leave my hair how it is and try to keep growing it out. I actually like it when I take the time to style it...so I guess I'm content. BUT, if I do decide to take the plunge one day and chop it off I will let ya'll know! Now on to more important matters - did anyone watch SYTYCD tonight??? (That's short for So You Think You Can Dance) Well the BEST dance of the night was to David Archuleta's Imagine song and it was AWESOME!!! It even gave me chills! I'll try to find it on You Tube to post, I loved it!

A hiking we will go!

Saturday evening we met up with the Perkins and the Schraders to do a little hiking up Millcreek Canyon. I told Robbie we need to take more advantage of the Beautiful Utah mountains! Especially Millcreek canyon because we only live about 3 minutes away!
We hiked a little trail that was so fun! There was a creek that ran next to it all the way up - well the part that we hiked - we only went about 1 mile before little London was spent. But one day we will hike to the top...Kim said it has an amazing view of the valley.
Afterwards, we found a little spot to grill some chicken, hot dogs, and also fire up some yumalicious s'mores. I seriously could go make s'mores over a fire pit every night!
They are soooo goooooood!

Ava and Taryn holding hands, what cuties!

I LOVE Utah!

The kiddos

Let's do it again friends - it was loads of fun...even with the crying babies, the whiny kids, and Robbie spending an hour trying to get our little grill put together :)
