a big Warm Welcome to baby Wyatt!

My cute sister-in-law Brooke and her husband Jordan just had their little baby boy this morning in LUXEMBOURG! Jordan is playing professional basketball over there so that's where they have been living for the past two months. Today I was tending my other sister-in-law's little guy, Wrigley so I thought I'd put a video up from them saying "hi" to their new cousin (ok, more like me saying hi...) But I figured it would be fun for them to see these guys and how much they've grown since they left.

WE LOVE YOU WYATT
AND CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!!

RAW... RAW ...RAW!

Amy and the girls...go Bulldogs!

Taryn is obsessed with cheerleaders. She get's OVERLY EXCITED when she sees them. I wish I would have recorded her at the Olympus game last weekend. I took her down right next to the girls and she was going bonkers...spinning in circles, clapping, stomping her feet...basically the entire crowd was laughing because of her. And the cheerleaders loved it, they let her hold a pom pom and she joined them like she was born to do a high kick. I guess I know what to dress her up like for Halloween!

Today we went to the Olympus Jr. volleyball game and watched Amy cheer. So this time I got a video of Taryn after the game doing her thang... Funny stuff I tell ya.

And here's another one of my " shorty gettin' low" at the Oly game.

Some Randomness

the rules:
1. Link to person who has tagged you:
http://jeanettesoffe.blogspot.com/.
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Write 6 random things about yourself
4. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment

1. I am addicted to the Hershey's Bliss chocolates. Like it is becoming a problem. I think my diet needs to have a little more variety....chocolate and diet coke just isn't cutting it.

2. I sang the star spangled banner with 3 of my friends senior year before a basketball game. I saw the video of it a few years ago and WOW back then I really thought I was cool stuff.
That video combined with the homemade britney spears music videos Katie and I put together, and also the one we made for Tiare's birthday should never be seen by ANYONE. If you stumble upon these beauties you may think I used to have a drug problem.

Britney back in her good girl days

3. My dream job is to be one of the Disney Princess's at Disneyland. I consider Disneyland my home away from home - but I am definitely willing to make it my first home. I really need to email Ellen Degeneras or Oprah about this WISH so they can make it come true. Maybe if I ever have a tragedy I could use that as leverage....Not that I'm saying it would be worth a tragedy! (well...maybe)

Someday my dream will come (and I can make little girls like this feel special)

4. I thought Heath Ledger was one of the most attractive actors out there. The Australian accent, the jaw line, the eyes, the dimpled smile, even the little moles he had. Really he was the one. I love him. Even if he died because the Joker took over his perfectly beautiful body.

Sorry Robbie...don't be a hater.

5. I use to watch "The Sound of Music" over and over again when I was little. It was my absolute favorite show. My mom would pop in the 3 hr+ movie and I'd lay in my "other one bed" - aka the "big blanket" and watch it like there was no tomorrow.

"The Hills are Alive..."
Julie Andrew's is my hero.

6. Robbie and I watch either an episode of King of Queens or Seinfield every single night. I really feel that we are connected to Doug and Carrie Heffernan. Robbie and I throw out a lot of lines to each other from this show.
Onionionionion!!!

My Favorite Room

Taryn's room is my absolute favorite place in our house. I love the cheery feeling it brings when I walk in. I also love the baby smell that fills every corner. Everything in this room was either handmade, from a thrift store, a gift, or under $10 dollars! I always keep my eye out for new little nick nacks that would add extra charm. When I first saw this room I knew it was just perfect for her. The shelves make it so much fun, Taryn loves to play with and even put away all her toys on the lower ones. So this post it mostly for me to remember this room exactly how it is. Then I can look back and remember the love and happiness it brought to us.

My mom had a friend at works who's daughter sold us this pottery barn rug for $30! It's HUGE and adds the perfect touch of pinks and yellows (so I guess I fibbed about the $10 - but for a rug that size from pottery barn... I'd say that's a steal!)

I'm guessing she likes the new rug?!

Our Labor Day weekend

This past weekend we headed up to The Homestead to spend time with family. I am so grateful for my family and the love and friendship we share. It is such a blessing to have them so close and always happy to see us and Taryn. We have made many memories over the years when visiting Midway. I remember my Grandma always making the granddaughters little robes to wear as we skipped over to the pool, feeling excited to explore the Homestead grounds (there always seemed to be something new we never had noticed before), running into our room to be the first to have a bite of the homemade fudge, always receiving a can of peanuts and some soda from my grandpa, eating at Pizza Hut, walking around the crowded booths at Swiss Days, having the chicken pox, lounging on the comfy beds, riding bikes and scooters around the sidewalks, listening to the different bands play in the evening, and best of all just sitting on the porch visiting and making memories.

Thank you so very much Grandpa and Grandma for spoiling us with our many visits to The Homestead!

We Love You!

The Parade

She LOVES cheerleaders, she'd scream at them as they walked by.

Taryn called every horse "Auggie, Auggie!" (my parents dog)

Watching mama's favorite show of all time,
"The Sound of Music!"
and this was at my favorite part! "you are 16 going on 17..."
